Archie Ellis is the Vice President of Corporate Sales and Government Relations at the Knoxville Tourism & Sports Corporation (KTSC). Archie Ellis served on the Board of Director's for five years before stepping down and joining the KTSC staff in 2006.
Ellis' responsibilities include managing the organization's corporate and governmental relations outreach as well as working to secure corporate partnerships in the community for large-scale events that the KTSC produces throughout each year.
Ellis comes to the KTSC from Lawler-Wood, LLC, a Knoxville real estate development firm, where he was the vice president of higher education/business development.
Ellis received his undergraduate degree from Emory and Henry College in Virginia and his master's degree from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, where he also pursued additional study in law.
Ellis currently serves on the communications committee of the United States Golf Association, the Board of Directors of the Wee Course at Williams Creek, and the Board of Directors of the West High School Foundation, an organization for which he assumed presidency from 2006-2007. Additionally, he has served on the Board of Trustees of Hiwassee College in Madisonville as well as chair of the worship committee at Central United Methodist Church in Knoxville.
