Zookeeper Jack Hanna to speak on Feb. 27 WHAT: “An Evening with Jack Hanna,” a conversation with animal expert and TV personality Jack Hanna and animal friends WHO: Students, faculty, staff, and the public. WHEN: 7:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 27. WHERE: Cox Auditorium, Alumni Memorial Building The University of Tennessee, Knoxville Issues Committee and Central Program Council, a student organization advised by the Office of Student Activities, Division of Student Life, invite you to attend an evening with zookeeper Jack Hanna and some of his animal friends as he shares recollections of his life and career. Jack Hanna served as Director of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium from 1978 until 1993. Hanna published his autobiography Monkeys on the Interstate in 1989, and in 1993 became the host of the nationally syndicated television show Jack Hanna’s Animal Adventures. After 10 years with Animal Adventures, Jack started a new TV series, Jack Hanna’s Into the Wild, which began airing in 2007. In 2008, Into the Wild was awarded an Emmy for outstanding television series. Hanna and his animals have been featured on Good Morning America, the David Letterman Show, Larry King Live, and many more national media outlets.
