Fort Dickerson Living history Weekend
Nov 9th - 11th, 2007
Friday, November 9 is set aside for School Day. Area grade schools have been invited to attend a fun filled and educational experience, including medical and surgical demonstrations, artillery, infantry and cavalry demonstrations, and fascinating insights from local scholars and historians on the importance of Fort Dickerson and Knoxville during the War Between the States.
The free event runs from 10AM-4:30PM Saturday, November 10, and from 11AM to 4PM, Sunday, November 11, and includes living history campsites, infantry drilling and firing, Civil War Music, Civil War Medicine Exhibit, Battle reenactments, cannon firings, refreshments and other activities.
