Located in West Knoxville, Turkey Creek Greenway is locatd between Campbell Station Road and Lovell Road and runs along the Turkey Creek Wetland which is the largest wetland area in the county. Close by the greenway is the Turkey Creek shopping area filled with many stores, restaurants and a theatre. The length is two miles and is used for walking, running, bicycling, and walking dogs.

The Three Rivers Rambler is a 90 minute train ride that takes visitors along the Tennessee River starting in Downtown Knoxville and making its way to the "Three Rivers Trestle" where the French Broad and Holston Rivers join to form the Tennessee River. There are rides throughout the year including July, October for the Pumpkin Express and December for the Christmas Express.

The East TN Historical Society has all a visitor needs to learn about the region's history in one building. Whether visitors want to tour the Museum of East TN History with its many permanent and temporary exhibits including information on Cherokee Indians, the Civil War, emergence of Country Music and more or visit the Calvin M. McClung Historical collection to research geneologies,this building has all one needs to learn more about East Tennessee.
Lakeshore Park is 60 acres and features a playground, open space, paved trails, 6 baseball/softball fields, 2 soccer fields, a concession stand and restrooms. This park is known for its great views of Fort Loudon Lake and the Great Smoky Mountains.
The Knoxville Museum of Art celebrates the art and artists of East Tennessee, presents new art and new ideas, serves and educates diverse audiences, and enhances Knoxvilles quality of life. The museum is located in downtown Knoxville at 1050 Worlds Fair Park and is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday 10-5 pm, and Sunday 1 pm-5 pm. Admission and parking are free.
