Uniquely Friday at the Knoxville Visitor Center

• WHAT: Uniquely Friday, a program highlighting local artists & talent


• WHO: Bob Meadows, Bookmaker. Meadows devotes most of his time to making from-scratch artist books and is continually experimenting with new materials and formats. He combines his love of words, calligraphy, watercolor, photography, graphic design and general crafting in this art. Meadows uses oriental and handmade papers, archival adhesives, bookboard, wood, leather, and quotations from years of collecting to create one-of-a-kind artist books in a wide variety of styles and formats. Meadows teaches bookmaking classes at John C. Campbell Folk School in North Carolina and the Fountain City Art Center in Knoxville. He is a member of the Foothills Craft Guild, Tennessee Book Arts Guild and Knoxville Book Arts Guild.
