Figure and fitness buffs meet in Knoxville
Hundreds of competitors are expected at Knoxville’s Chilhowee Park October 16-17 for the 2009 East Tennessee NPC Bodybuilding Figure, Fitness & Bikini Competition and Sports Expo. Meeting in Knoxville for the second year in a row, this event is the only multi-sports festival of its kind in the area.
The events that will take place during the festival include bodybuilding, figure, fitness and bikini competitions, “Nemesis” Cage Fighting, a “strongman” competition, arm wrestling, dance competitions and fencing, plus many more activities. Several vendors will also be present, plus professional athletes such as Flex Lewis, IFBB Pro Bodybuilder, among others.
Cage Fighting and weigh-ins for competitions will take place on Friday, Oct. 16 and Saturday, Oct. 17 will feature competitions and other activities.
The mission of the 2009 East Tennessee Sports Expo is to encourage and motivate individuals to participate in exercise, fitness and strength sports. The event welcomes all people from various walks of life and all ages.
