Knoxville featured on the Sally Jessy Raphael radio show

On Sept. 26, Knoxville was featured on the nationally syndicated Sally Jessy Raphael radio show during a 15-minute travel segment by national travel correspondent Ron Kapon.

This past weekend, Kapon was able to experience Knoxville tourism first-hand as he participated in the Knoxville Tourism & Sports Corporation’s Fall Familiarization Tour, also know as the Fall FAM.

Kapon and Raphael discussed Knoxville’s great tourist offerings including attractions like the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame and the city’s close proximity to state attractions like the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Raphael was surprised to learn from Kapon that Knoxville is located in the geographic center of the eastern United States and is located within a day’s drive of half of the nation’s population.

In addition to being nationally syndicated daily on hundreds of radio stations, the Sally Jessy Raphael show can also be heard on www.sallyjr.com.
