Cut loose in World’s Fair Park

Residents from Knoxville and surrounding areas will cut loose this Saturday, Oct. 13 at World’s Fair Park for the 11th annual Knoxville Brewer’s Jam.
The Knoxville Brewers Jam is an event held annually in downtown Knoxville, where locals may taste-test more than 30 different types of beers. In 2006, more than 5,000 ale enthusiasts gathered in Knoxville to celebrate this annual event, and 2007 promises to increase attendance with more beers, better food, and even more live music.
Saturday’s festivities take place in World’s Fair Park from 1 to 7 p.m. Musical guests include Christabel & the Jons, Natti Love Joys and Medford’s Black Record Collection.
Downtown Grille and Brewery, Calhoun’s Microbrewery, and Woodruff Brewing Company are a few of the vast brewers offering selections of their beer. With brewers from all over the country and world, including North Carolina, Maryland, Colorado, California and also Germany and England, attendees are sure to suit their specific tastes.
The Knoxville Brewers Jam is produced by and benefits the non-profit organization, Community Shares. Community Shares’ mission is to “ give funds to different organizations that help Tennesseans have better lives.” The organization promotes art, culture and a cleaner environment and also assists those in need of affordable health care.
