Soccer champions reunite in Knoxville for weekend tournament
More than 500 talented soccer athletes will travel to Knoxville October 13-14 for the Impact Premier Cup (IPC) Challenge soccer tournament, taking place in various athletics fields around Knox County.
The IPC Challenge is an invitational-only tournament that selects teams by how well they have played in previous tournament and league play. All state champion teams are automatically accepted into the tournament.
Not only does the IPC tournament offer players of different levels an excellent chance to test their skills at higher levels, but it also offers soccer enthusiasts the opportunity to watch and cheer for incredibly talented players and teams. This challenge will offer one of the highest levels of youth soccer in the Southeast. Many of the athletes are return soccer players, playing against the same competitors year after year.
The Impact United Soccer Association (USA), which hosts the IPC tournament, is a non-profit organization that was formed in 2001 by Director of Coaching Jon Schneider and former Director Norman Wishart. The organization has been built by recruiting top coaches and clinicians who offer the highest levels of soccer education. Impact USA’s mission is to provide great soccer training and development by fielding competitive youth teams playing at higher levels.
