Top cheerleaders and football players compete in “Battle in Rocky Top”

More than 3,800 talented football players and cheerleaders will be showing off their skills while competing in the “Battle in Rocky Top” on Nov. 16-18 at the John Tarleton Park and Safety City.
More than 100 teams from 15 different states will be represented at the youth football tournament. The “Battle in Rocky Top” is one of the premier post-season youth football tournaments in the nation and offers a chance for every type of team to compete against one other.
The cheer competition allows cheerleaders to show off their many talents and compete against squads from other leagues, cities and states. Because most of the squads competing are accompanying football teams, the double show-down competition makes this event even more exciting and compelling to watch.
The “Battle in Rocky Top” was established to offer different ages of youth the chance to compete in a diverse competition with teams from around the county. This competition allows athletes a top-notch experience to compete against the best of the best in both cheerleading and football.
