Knoxville showcased in April familiarization tour
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Meeting planners and organizational representatives will have the opportunity to experience Knoxville when the Knoxville Tourism & Sports Corporation (KTSC) hosts its “Find Yourself in Knoxville” Spring Familiarization (FAM).
The FAM, which runs Thursday, April 26 through Sunday, April 29, provides meeting planners the chance to see Knoxville as an attractive and competitive convention and meeting destination. The event itinerary is designed to highlight Knoxville-based accommodations, facilities, attractions and services.
“The first-hand experience that we’re offering planners is an effective method of presenting the many positive things the Knoxville market has to offer,” said Kim Paul, KTSC vice president of sales. “It’s a very compelling sales message and we’re confident Knoxville will generate new business through this effort.”
The event kicks off Thursday, April 26, at 5:45 p.m. with an opening reception at One Vision Plaza followed by a trip to downtown’s Market Square for the “Sundown in the City” concert featuring Scott Miller.
The schedule for Friday and Saturday includes tours of Knoxville’s many attractions, museums and meeting venues.
The “Find Yourself in Knoxville” FAM is designed and coordinated to sell Knoxville as a convention and meeting destination to planners representing various markets.
