Knoxville is home to McGhee Tyson Airport, the premier air facility serving East Tennessee. The airport has more than 120 daily arrivals and departures and more than 4,000 seats available.

With parallel 9,000 feet runways, McGhee Tyson Airport can accommodate any size aircraft in today's inventory. Located 12 miles south of downtown Knoxville, the airport occupies more than 2,000 acres of land with space for additional air cargo facilities or economic development.

Knoxville Trolley Lines, a FREE downtown trolley service, provides a convenient way to see all the attractions in the downtown area.
Hours of operation:
Monday - Friday (7 a.m. to 6 p.m.) - Orange and Green Lines
Monday - Friday (6 a.m. to 7 p.m.) - Blue Line
Monday - Friday (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) - Orange Line Extension
In addition, a Late Line Trolley operates every 15 minutes on Friday and Saturday nights (August - May) 6 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. with service to Knoxville´s historic Old City, the Knoxville Convention Center and other entertainment spots.

The trolley service also connects to the City´s regular bus service Knoxville Area Transit (KAT) for trips outside of the downtown area, including malls, parks and other attractions.
Knoxville Area Transit provides regular, fixed route bus service throughout the City of Knoxville and portions of Knox County.

KAT is the mass transit system for the City of Knoxville, operating around 80 buses, paratransit LIFT vehicles, and downtown trolleys.
KAT carries 3.2 million passengers per year and during peak hours of service, KAT operates approximately 28 routes, including three express routes and three trolley routes.
Knoxville is also serviced by Greyhound Bus Lines. The local terminal is located at 100 East Magnolia Avenue.
